Pricing

Pricing can vary for each situation.    If you have really rough terrain with heavy cover and only a few hogs to remove, then obviously the price per hog would have to be higher.  In situations where there are many hogs to remove and we are able to move freely on many 100's of acres then the price per hog would be lower.

Each situation is unique, and after discussing your wild pig problem with you, we can give you an idea of what it might cost.

Trip Charge

We are located in Fredericksburg, TX and have travelled to many parts of the state to remove feral pigs.  We do not charge upfront for hog removal, but do require a trip charge to cover estimated gas expenses and food.  The amount would vary according to the distance you are located from Fredericksburg, TX. After that you only pay for the wild pigs that we remove.

Cost of Doing Nothing

In most cases hogs do not reach a ecologically balanced level.  This is partly due to the lack of predators for adult hogs.  They will continue to increase in population on your property until the resources your land has to offer becomes diminished.  Waiting to get them under control does nothing but increase the cost and time required for their removal.  Not to mention the cost in destruction and loss of the food supply on your property.

Deer Feeders
Wild hogs will frequent deer feeders and compete with the deer for corn or supplements.  This reduces the deer population and limits the ability to produce trophy game.  Large boars frequently turn over and damage expensive feeders as well as fences.
Fawns
Wild hogs do kill fawns.  The mother will run to safety and leave the fawn to lie quietly in the open or under cover.
Vegetation
Hogs will root up entire forests, hillsides and crops.  They will pull up bushes, small trees and turn over rocks and cacti.  In dry times they love to visit freshly watered yards and plant beds.  Once this happens there is very little you can do to deter them from coming back to this new found paradise.  This will become costly as well as extremely irritating.

In short, wild hogs are an alien species to the U.S. that compete with native animals for food and shelter.  They have not reached a natural balance and never will under the present conditions.  Bears, mountain lions and other predatory animals,  have adapted over many thousands of years to produce the correct amount of offspring to sustain themselves without overpopulation.  Hogs however have only been in the U.S. for a few hundred years and have not adapted in this way.  In many areas, the only predators wild pigs have are coyotes, but they only kill the smaller pigs.
